Resident Call-In Program
Created on 5/14/2010 9:31:21 AM
The City's new program is designed to help take care of our Senior community. If we don't hear from you each day, we will reach out to you to ensure your safety.
This is a free program for Seniors who reside alone and would like someone to check in on them daily. The Senior is to call Community Services daily by 10:00am. If this is not done, Community Services attempts to contact the Senior. Should this be unsuccessful, calls are made to emergency contact numbers provided by the participating Senior. If none of these contacts knows of the Senior's status, the Independence Police Department conducts a welfare check at the home of the Senior.
The Resident Call-In Program operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, to provide a sense of safety and security to our residents within their homes.
If you are interested in participating in this program, call Community Services at 524-7373 to register.
