Leaders in Technology
In 1996 ground was broken for the new Technical Services Department. The basic shell of the building was constructed by contractors and the Technical Services personnel completed all internal construction. In the fall of 1998 the building was complete.
The department is responsible and accountable for the planning, direction, operation, technical repair and maintenance of the electrical, mechanical and electronic systems of the City, which includes heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems, plumbing, security systems, environmental systems, and all other functions related to building maintenance and operations.
With a multi-talented work force, this department is equipped to perform 99% of building and building systems' repairs in-house, reducing downtime, and virtually eliminating expensive service calls.
