Functions of the Safety/Rules & Ordinances Committee
- Receives periodic updates regarding Fire Department and Police Department issues
- Receives periodic updates from the Civil Service Commission with regard to their current activities
- Receives updates with regard to the upgrading of signalization at various intersections throughout the City
- Discuss any Committee-related safety issues in the City
- Discuss any newly proposed Committee-related ordinances and makes a recommendation to Council with regard to adoption
- Discuss any proposed revisions to Committee-related ordinances and makes a recommendation to Council with regard to adoption
The Committee meets on an as-needed basis.
