Functions of the Safety/Rules & Ordinances Committee

  • Receives periodic updates regarding Fire Department and Police Department issues
  • Receives periodic updates from the Civil Service Commission with regard to their current activities
  • Receives updates with regard to the upgrading of signalization at various intersections throughout the City
  • Discuss any Committee-related safety issues in the City
  • Discuss any newly proposed Committee-related ordinances and makes a recommendation to Council with regard to adoption
  • Discuss any proposed revisions to Committee-related ordinances and makes a recommendation to Council with regard to adoption

The Committee meets on an as-needed basis.
