Independence Mayor's Court hears misdemeanor offenses that occur within our jurisdiction, with the exception of 2nd offense Driving Under the Influence and 2nd offense Driving Under DUI Suspensions or Financial Responsibility (FRA) Suspensions.

Domestic Violence and Stalking cases are also excluded from Mayor's Court jurisdiction.

The Mayor's Court for the City of Independence meets every other Wednesday at 9:00 am.  DUIA hearings are held every Wednesday at 8:00 am.  If you were issued a citation, the court date and time appears in the lower right corner of the citation.
