A MAJOR County Bridge Replacement Project along E. Pleasant Valley Road began January 8th, and will continue for the next 3-years.
The following three (3) bridges are being replaced with this $29-millon dollar project:
- bridge over Old Riverview Road
- bridge over the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad
- bridge over the Cuyahoga River
Traffic will be unaffected on E. Pleasant Valley for motorists traveling east or west between Brecksville Road and Rio Nero Drive, however, from JANUARY 8, 2024 THROUGH JULY 2025, motorists will only be able to travel eastbound on E. Pleasant Valley Road from Rio Nero Drive to Hub Valley Parkway.
Westbound E. Pleasant Valley Road WILL BE CLOSED between Hub Valley Parkway and Rio Nero Drive throughout this time period.
Detour routes for westbound E. Pleasant Valley will be signed along Northfield Road (S.R. 8), Rockside Road, S.R. 82, and Brecksville Road (S.R. 21).
Canal Road will be open to northbound and southbound traffic throughout this time period, however access to E. Pleasant Valley Road from Canal Road will only be in the eastbound direction.
Overall project completion is projected to be November of 2026.
