Resident Services

Lifeline Medical Alert
This program is an emergency monitoring system that gets help with a button worn by the adult. Trained dispatchers can send help quickly, whether it is a local family member or the fire department. A monthly fee applies. Contact IFD or Community Services for more information. Check out the brochure and fill out an application today!

Residential Lock Box Program
This program allows our firefighters and paramedics quick access into your home without causing damage in emergency situations. One time fee applies. Contact us at IFD for more information or fill out an application here

Emergency Beacons
This porch light blinks to help us locate your house quickly in the event of an emergency. Stop by the fire station for more information and to pick up your light.

Smoke Detector Installations
If you have purchased and cannot install your smoke detectors, IFD can assist you with that installation. Call the station to schedule a time.  If you cannot afford to purchase your own detectors, call the station to see if there is a program that may help you with that purchase and installation.

IFD doesn't give away detectors at the fire station.  We will gladly come to your home to assess your detector location and install the detectors as needed.

Blood Pressure Checks
Paramedics are on duty and can take your blood pressure anytime.

Home Safety Evaluations
A free program where our firefighters will evaluate your home for common hazards, check your smoke and CO detectors for functionality, and offer suggestions regarding fire safety. A free CO detector is installed if the homeowner has proof of a furnace check within the last 12 months.
