Teen Safe Driver Program
Registration Will Be Open March 6 - 17 (or until the session is filled)
The Independence Police Department are hosting a FREE, one-day course for teens on: distracted driving, impaired driving (OVI), common violations, dealing with an accident, mock traffic stops, OVI field sobriety tests, situational driving, road rage, equipment (lights, battery, tires, etc.), and interacting with police.
Registration material must be completed and returned in person to the Independence Police Department. Parent/guardian must drop off completed registration for any drivers under age 18.
CLASS LIMITED TO 30 STUDENTS: Open to Independence drivers or the child of a resident ages 16-19 with a valid driver's license.
