Students who are residents of Independence (regardless of school attended) are eligible to earn a $500 scholarship from INDYAlive!
Any student resident of Independence who will complete the requirements for high school graduation by June 2021 and will attend a post-secondary or technical school is eligible to apply.
PRIVATE/PAROCHIAL SCHOOL STUDENTS: Download the Application here or pick up a copy at Independence City Hall between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Completed applications can be submitted to City Hall.
INDEPENDENCE HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: Follow the instructions outlined by the Guidance Office.
The deadline for ALL students to return their completed APPLICATIONS, ESSAYS, and REFERENCES is March 29, 2024 @ 3:00 PM.
